Colorado Tent
The Colorado Tent is the workhorse of our lineup — a purpose-built wall tent designed for outfitters, backcountry hunters, and serious base camp operations. Made from 10.10 oz Sunforger® cotton duck canvas in our Denver, Colorado workshop, it has been our flagship tent since 1890. When conditions get severe, this is the tent that stays standing.
Canvas does something no synthetic can match: when it gets wet, the fibers swell and the weave tightens, becoming more waterproof with each rain. It breathes naturally, eliminating condensation. It regulates temperature — cooler in summer, warmer in winter. And when something needs fixing in the field, a needle and thread is all you need. The Colorado Tent is built to last 20+ years with proper care.

Important: New canvas tent setup
Set up your new tent and soak the seams with a hose 2–3 times before your first use. The needle holes will close as the cotton fibers swell. Do not apply waterproofing treatments — they seal the canvas and cause condensation. Full care guide →
